Racetrack Of Life Poem by Anna Petrashishina

Racetrack Of Life

The fast pace of life.
Going through the racetrack of happiness and strife.
Everyone is racing for the finish line.
And the only car I'm focused on is mine.
What awaits ahead no one knows.
But they continue to race as their curiosity grows.
Once it has sucked you in, victory doesn't seem like a reward.
Everyday you go through your life like you're bored.
You create yourself an endless schedule.
Life in the fast lane has become your normal.
But what if you've ever slowed down.
Saw the beauty of life and had a meltdown.
You never had time to see the details.
But now your life just seem like fairy tales.
Time cannot be controlled, but you wasted most of it.
And now you lay in the hospital, waiting for God to take your spirit.
So much regret and sorrow flash through your eyes before you take your last breath.
Your busy life has ended suddenly in death.
