Rain Poem by Robin Pine

Rain

The wind is whistling
The rain is coming down
So I'm inside singing
But I have a frown

I do not like rainy days
The road is wet and the sky is grey
Thunder, rumble and roar
Close the windows and lock the door

Sun is breaking through
And the rain stops too
Rainbow across the sky
To tickle my eyes

The roads are drying up
I hear cars driving by splashing in the water
I go outside with my coffee cup
As the day is getting hotter

The flowers start to bloom
Because outside is no longer gloom
The birds were playing in the puddles
All of a sudden they were in a huddle

I can't help myself to wonder
If there is anymore thunder
The clouds start to roll in
I lift my head and gave it a happy grin

Clouds gather in the dark sky
We are going to have some more rain
I hope the roads will quickly dry
I will have to refrain with this rain

The rain turned into sleet
It has been a bad day
At least there will be no more heat
The skies were still grey

The day went too fast
Thunderstorm has arrived
It has been a blast
I am glad that I have survived

Thunder is rumbling and hitting the wires
It's time to get into bed
If the thunder hits the ground it could make some fires
The fire makes the colour red

Thunder has a lot of noises to hear
As I see the lighting flashing
But I never fear
It makes a loud smashing

Thunder had drifted away
Tomorrow will be a different day
I like the smell of the rain
This is going insane

I love sunny mornings
There are no more warnings
All the birds are singing on the tree top
Luckily nothing happened to my crop
