Well, I just heard the thunder roar,
But I did not see the lightning;
Looking up to darkened clouds.
The bitter wind is biting.
A smile spreads across my lips
For what others find as frightening.
Yesterday is soon to be
Washed away behind me.
'CHORUS'
Rain...Wash away these stains
And all this pain.
Wind...blow through my skin,
And rip away...all I've been.
==========================
I heard you heard the news today,
But it's nothing new to you.
Now there's no motive babe;
For the evil that you do.
The torrent's come to wash away,
The wind lends a hand too;
Rinsing clean this dank machine
That's bound us; me and you.
'CHORUS'
Rain...wash away these stains
And all this pain.
Wind...blow through my skin,
And rip away...all I've been.
