Ray Of Hope Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

Ray Of Hope

Grey clouds hover overhead,
Heavy with rain and darkness spread,
I'm uncertain of when the sun will shine,
Wondering if there is any hope of mine.

But I know that the sun will come,
Breaking through the clouds and shining some,
A ray of hope, a glimmer of light,
That will make everything seem bright.

For though the clouds may seem so grey,
And darkness threaten throughout the day,
I know that there is hope in store,
A brighter future to be explored.

So, I will wait and hold on tight,
For the sun that will break the night,
I will look up with a heart of faith,
And let hope fill up my empty space.

And when the sun shines once more,
I'll dance with joy, and my heart will soar,
For the clouds may come and go,
But hope and faith will always glow.
