Reach Poem by Bernadeth Tolentino

Reach

Rating: 4.3

Finger tips so close to touching
The chains of hesitation, constantly wrapping.
Covered in scars of broken hearts
Just two people- miles apart.

Palms faced up; welcoming gestures
Fists clenched tight; closed to beggars
Neither hearing one another
But trying so hard to feel their lover

It may be vague, almost nonexistent
The feel of hope, its hard to listen.
If there's a lesson love should teach-
All you have to do is reach.
