Recovery From Illness
Oh! What a great ecstasy and joy,
After a long misery and cry.
My soul was long attacked,
As it sobriety lacked.
Sunk deeply in its sickness,
Soaked in its weakness.
Strove to free from disease,
But showed a slow decrease.
Reading poems, provided the medicine,
And the strength to win.
Fine arts and literature, including good poetry is a remedy for the sickness of the soul. A great poem! .........10
Yes, sometimes, somewhere, somehow, even small words inspires. Well, the poem is also a medicine.
Well written poetry can certainly be uplifting to the soul and help the sick to cope better too.
Healing power of words is unimaginable, and still unappriciated in full extent. Words and poems convey messages that sometimes resolve your hidden or overt dillemas and pains. They are behind the faith and enlightenement, they are columns of your integrity and your health. Nicely penned Abdulrazak!

'Reading poems, provided the medicine, And the strength to win.' yes I have often wondered how often, and how profoundly, poetry has lifted the spirits of ailing souls.
I wrote the poem 'Poetry Is A Stimulant Mind Medicine' inspired by the poem 'Recovery From Illness', by the poet Abdulrazak Aralimatti and dedicated to Abdulrazak Aralimatti.
