Red Rose Unfurled Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Red Rose Unfurled

Red Rose Unfurled

The red rose petals
Unfurled in my red heart
And their it breathed
In me of long passions.

This rose was not quiet.
It needed to act upon
Some very large love
It had witnessed.

The rose told the heart
Who was he that loved you?
And the heart answered
So sweetly smart.

The rose asked tell me.
And the heart spoke of a man.
He was a handsome one
And one day they would become one.
