Redundant And Unrewarded Expectations Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Redundant And Unrewarded Expectations

Secret wishes.
Goals of feasting,
Greed exclusively.
Toasting guests,
With festive treats.

And sit they do,
Awaiting to witness...
Plans to deceive,
Trick and dupe.
Followers trusting.
Completely sedated.
And consciously manipulated.

Yet...
Unrewarded expectations,
Seldom achieves...
What it is,
Those living life shallow of purpose.
Making secret wishes,
With others.
Equally deceiving.

Trading copper coated gold plated bling,
To anyone proving a doing of anything.
Just to be seen being praised.
Even for their repeated tolerated failures.
No matter how treasonous,
Betrayal acts against humanity can be.
They will rise to the occasion.
Introducing new excuses.
And annoying yet acceptable explanations.
Made 24/7.

"How is the doing of any of this possible? "

-Redundacy.-

"Redundacy? "

-Redundacy.-

"Redundacy! "
