This poor broken heart of mine;
Goes thru pain beyond what words can define.
Time after time you have ripped it apart
That I can’t recognise if it’s still my heart.
Nothings left of it to tear anymore.
The pieces so shattered that it I cannot restore.
You have torn it apart beyond belief
From this pain and torture there is no relief
So jagged are the wounds that it’s beyond repair
There is none to hear its cries of despair.
Though it struggles thru every heartbeat
It still doesn’t want to accept defeat.
For it still loves you with every dying beat left.
Trying hard to show the love for you it felt.
The wounds are too deep to mend
And only you and you alone can make the amend.
Every time you touch me I can feel the healing.
And I feel the pain leaving and fading
But you never stay enough to touch me longer
Instead you leave making the wounds only deeper.
You have stolen its faith in love
You have crushed its spirit and desire to live.
You considered its adoration as nothing but garbage
Yet it sees you like an angel in spite of all the damage.
Sometime I wonder if you worth all this pain.
In the end what is that I am going to gain.
Baby, I want to let you know that you are worth it all.
I wouldn’t go thru this pain if you were not the one.
I wish you were an ordinary girl who believed in fairytale love.
My love would have then swept you off your feet.
I hope when you get tired of searching what you looking for; .
You will finally find that true love has always been there waiting;
In this broken heart of mine.
