Reflections Of Motherhood Poem by Louise Carr Eldridge

Reflections Of Motherhood

Rating: 3.5

The days have passed so swiftly that I hardly saw the change
from chubby wobbly toddler to the child you are today
Your knowledge far surpasses mine on many points of view
Yet it seems like only yesterday I heard 'Mom, what's two plus two? '
The good, the bad, the in-between was worth it every bit
For I grew too, and learned from you, endless joy I may have missed
If the choice were mine to make again, I would not change a thing
For there is no greater gift in life than the Love a child can bring

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After an early morning argument, my children left for school. I felt horrible about the argument and sat down to get those feelings out.

Motherhood is amazing and the most difficult job of all. I can see from your careful writing how much you love your job! :)
