Refusing Lessons To Them Given Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Refusing Lessons To Them Given

I have never understood,
Those who pay to sit in classrooms...
Refusing lessons to them given.
To then declare what is being taught,
And the experience of the teacher...
Who provides a strained patience,
Is inadequate for them to digest.
And the teacher commited,
Has to listen to those too ignorant...
To respect or silence themselves.
Or speak or write correctly!
But wish to express their intelligence,
To impress others.
