Regret Poem by James Charles Hutsell ( Aka Butch )

Regret

When I look inside myself
I see myself
And I know what I have done
It's just the human-ness of me
It's just the weakness of me

I did not want to believe
Love could come and go so easily
So I cling to this memory
It's just the heart of me
It's just the love of me

I did not want to hurt this one
I only wanted to live in his sun
And now the moon makes me cry
It's just the loneliness of me
It's just the sadness of me

Maybe someday; I'll see his smile
Then we could walk and talk awhile
So he would know how sorry I am
It's just the dream of me
It's just the hope of me
