Rejected Steps Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Rejected Steps

Those steps to take,
That seem most effective...
To achieve what is needed done.
Are often the ones,
More likely to be rejected.
For childish and petty reasons.
Since many will choose and decide,
They will take a scenic route to prove...
A refusing of a suggestion,
To quicker get from A to Z basically...
Will avoid bestowing upon someone,
An attention to receive.
Regardless how simplistic their recommenation.
Leaving those eventually to discover,
Others had been from A to Z repeatedly.
Long to have established,
Their own opportunities made to create them.
And...
Without looking around seeking them found.
Or not knowing from where to begin to start!
