Release Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Release

Exploring the emerald seas
Only to find myself losing ground
In the currents of impossibilities
Dreaming dreams of an the ocean's reprieve
Searching to finally be escape it all
So I can finally truly feel free

To go far and away
Traveling beyond
My own comprehension
My own mental deception
Ascension instead of descending
While dodging every last
Personal safety net
No matter how easy it all seems
Will never be the best for me

Fighting on
Like a steel-head struggling upstream
Only to gain strength with defeat
To only find validity in self
Someday claiming my personal victory

And all within
These emotions
Bare essential
To open air possibilities
Closed at the moment
Only to be retrieved
In muse's worth
Of perhaps vaguely unseen

I feel so much
More than
What once walled eyes have seen
Taking everything in
Learning why the most simple of things
Are the hardest for yours truly, me

The deepest of waters
Is an Ocean baring gifts?
Through struggle to victory
Who knows?
Time to swim out
And live out
These widest unimaginable dreams
Sweet essence
Of greater gratitude of unpredictability
Compatible to my own personal release

I love feeling
Each passion's heartbeat
Riding to the sound of serenity
Feeling each wave hit gracefully
Currents of a tide's validity
Exploring the many depths
Of life's worst and greatest achievements
Character building
A process that will never be completed

Love, from self
On out

The musing teacher
Of all foreseen uninhibitedly
Fictional to a non-fictional reality
Fighting against recluse delusions
And the anxiety it all brings
As this nervous self finally relaxes
Taking all of the beauty within

I am ready
To go adrift
Towards the emerald seas

Into the rivers
And lakes in-between
These oceanic dreams

There is not just
A before and after

There is a center
To it all

Balance
From forever falling
Off the middle
Built by each experience
Growing wiser each step
Tripping, climbing,
Everything life brings
Beyond even fate's
Own clairvoyance of nature

I am ready
To go
Explore it all

I am riding to rise and fall
To only get back up
And start all over again

To life‘s dedication
To everything created
By love's affirmation
I am one with peace
As I am now finally
Ready to be
Released

I once caught myself
But now I am ready to be free

Release me
I am ready to finally be freed

Release!
