Relied Upon For Their Honesty Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Relied Upon For Their Honesty

Most playmates from my childhood,
Have long been gone to move on...
To other experiences beyond this life.
And I wonder sometimes,
If I am remembered with the same curiosity...
As they are as their memories stay with me.

A difference intended to make and made,
Seems more relevant, meaningful and with a purpose...
When those known and trusted delivered sincerity.
And could be relied upon for their honesty.
Today?
So many who fake will never know what truth is.
