Relief From A Tortured Heart Poem by Andrew Degen

Relief From A Tortured Heart

My secrets were hidden
unseen by all
unheard throughout my life
until now
it's bind is broken
my grasp releases it
the ropes that kept it are broken
and cut
severed
they have served their purpose
that of which I don't need
no longer do i hide
in the depths of it darkness
watching its every move
as a cat watches a mouse
waiting for its chance
as I wait for mine
for her heart is taken
but not completely filled
her empty space
is my domain

Dedicated to: You Know Who You Are, hope you like it! I'm glad I answered #10.
