Religion Blinds Men Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Religion Blinds Men

I sorrow in heart each day
To see how Religion blinds men
How cunningly it takes away
The Light of Truth from heaven.

It pains me to witness them grope
For the way and for His victory
In the absence of Joy and Hope
Kneel to idols and gods emptily.

The god of this age is Religion
It deceitfully robs men of Truth,
Christ alone gives the Spirit on one
Who would ask from Him in genuine pursuit.

Marvel at how futile the rituals
Fail to nourish the spirit of man?
How fickle and hollow, ceremonies all-
But a vestige of holiness there is none!

Alone there's Reality shouting mutely
Empty! Empty! This life knelt in years!
For Religion has replaced God stubbornly
And her followers despair in their tears!

'Call to Me and I will answer' He said-
Seek Me with all your heart and soul,
New life I give for the spiritually dead
I am God, no other can make you whole! '

'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me,
and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me
when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you...'

Very truth my friend, the reason why I now one with God in mind and heart! I dropped from my religion so to say, but still keep the teachings in my heart.! Very meaningful thoughts!
