Remain Helpless Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Remain Helpless

The God had destined
To warn us when we sinned
"Stop this kind of barbarism and hatred"
You all will be one day dead

Such writing was inscribed
It was openly described
Religious preaching is tolerable
But killing on the name is intolerable

Why do we quarrel over His role?
He is there to guide and call
We need to remember his holy name
Worship and silently claim

It has not altered the scene
Many more deaths shall have to be seen
It is openly threatened
The doom is hastened

We shall watch it and remain helpless
We shall remember it remorse
The fresh flowers shall be crushed
On the brink of sadness, we shall be pushed
