Remain In Cage Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Remain In Cage

Rating: 5.0

Who would love to remain in cage?
With forceful confinement and bondage
No one I think on this beautiful earth
Life can be totally free only after death

Whole sky has remained a free zone
For birds to fly in air and come down one by one
In search of food and again air borne
Think of a scene when such freedom is suddenly gone

Many organizations are now working for freedom
Help secretly with funds and moral support even
Who do noble work for birds that are kept in cage?
The birds may like to live free but held under captivity and bondage

Birds must find their safe heaven
Lots of gardens must be brought up even
Forests are fast depleting with dangerous exposures
Their existence is at stack and life not very sure

If they can’t use their language then we must understand
Love and kindness must be shown and treated as natural friends
They are inseparable part of God and nature
If we have right to live then they too need to be assured

Set them free and allow natural hide outs
We have made them extinct and there is nothing to talk about
When we don’t like to remain under occupation?
They are no different from others in such relations

Think of a person kept in prison with lavish food
He won’t feel at comfort or anything good
If movement is restricted then liberty ends
And if liberty ends we are reaching dead end

What is use of beautiful garden if there are no visitors?
Flowers may be blooming but no birds to venture
Why not we have them some places reserved?
In this way our interest may be well served
