Remember Those Days Poem by Dustin Newman

Remember Those Days

I listen to your heartbeat,
As I lay against your chest.
Like an inmate with few hours,
Will you grant my last request.

Dont ever forget the moments,
That we held onto that night.
I didnt wanna leave you girl,
I shoulda stayed and made it right.

I would walk a thousand miles,
in my oldest beat up shoes.
I would write a thousand poems,
For a chance to be with you.

While I watch you drive away,
I know we'll always be apart.
I hold onto those memories,
I'll always keep you in my heart.
