Reminiscing Poem by Simply Ruby

Reminiscing

Rating: 5.0

It will disappear
It will fade away
I want it to
I need it to
It is too painful to bear
Your laugh, your voice, your hands on my skin
They have to disappear
They need to fade away
I don't want to close my eyes and see your face
I know they will be all gone someday
After a day, a month, or maybe even a year
But i will definitely forget.
How you took my breath away
How you made everything ok
How you could make me forget all of my pain
Your memory.
It has to disappear.
It has to fade away.
But for now, for tonight, at this very moment
They are oh so alive
Burning me with the yearning of your lips against mine
Reminding my skin of the touch of your hand
Torturing my ears with the sweet sound of your laugh
Tonight. Right now. In this very moment
I am drowning myself in the echo of you.
