Reminiscing About Our Relationship Poem by erica wood

Now and again you ask me how I feel about us,
Every time I ask myself if it’s just lust.
I know how I feel when I’m with you,
It scares me so much and I don’t know what to do.
You see how confused I am through my eyes,
You try to reassure me but all I hear are lies.
I searched through the deepest part of my heart,
Realizing that if I lose you my world would be torn apart.
Before I answer you there are things that I need to know about you,
If you’re honest with me then my answer will be true.
Will you always be by my side,
Or when I need you most will you run and hide?
If I start to cry will you be there to hold me and tell me that everything will be okay,
Or if I try to get close to you, will you turn away?
If you say that you’ll stay with me,
My answer you’ll be able to see.
Ask me again how I feel about you,
I’ll say that the love I feel for you is very true.
