Replacing Me Poem by Randy McClave

Replacing Me

Replacing me is quiet easy
And a little heartbreaking and breezy,
But, you could replace me with anyone you like
Even my opposite, a bully or someone who is sleazy.
You could replace me with a liar or a thief
Or with someone who continually brings you grief,
And someone who likes to strike
Or someone who is false with a fake belief.
You can replace me with someone tall as a tree
Or someone without a diploma or a degree,
Or even a violent psych
Anyone who is completely different than me.
You can replace my looks from the start
From my soul you can always quickly depart,
Even replace me with someone who is childlike
But, it's impossible to replace my heart.
