Responsibility Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Responsibility

People who make excuses,
For everything they do.
Have no problem finding others,
Choosing to do the same thing too.

The placing of blame on someone else.
To accuse for their excuses made.

As if the ones they accuse,
Live lives without wanting excuses to make.
But don't.

And seldom are heard whining to complain.
To have learned the taking,
Of responsibility for their own actions.

Something these days,
Many seem afraid to do.
Leaving the few who do this...
Blamed and accused for seeking attention.

And daring to go against the status quo!
You know.
The existing state of affairs!
