I couldn't forget you if I tried.
You taught me so much about life.
I've never doubted you as a wonderful father,
Who brought upon the love of a son and two daughters.
Though a lot of time has escaped us, dad...
Our memories could never erase the time we did have.
The day you got out of jail and picked me from daycare,
I saw you and went flying through the air.
Into your arms (I had to leap)
With my little, short legs (and tiny feet)
I couldn't believe that it was you.
I figured the caretakers were really confused.
I thought they were bullying me, trying to raise my hopes real high,
It'd turn out to be my cousin or uncle, and then I would cry.
But then I realized you were actually there.
That was the happiest moment of my life, I swear.
Or the times you'd take me to the mysterious park,
We'd cross through the magical forest, my favorite part.
You'd say to be quiet, not to wake the trolls under the bridge,
So we'd tip-toe over, sneaky like you did.
That taught me imagination, and the beauty of world's creation.
You taught me more than you realize, filled me with dreams fed with facination.
I remember you, maybe even more than you know.
My love for my daddy never ceases to grow.
I miss you a lot, please ignore the little complications.
I need you back in my life, could we start with graduation?
Will you be able to make it? Cause I really want you to.
Remember? I'm the first out of our family to actually get through!
I'd love your support, there's no one I want there more than my father,
So please hurry fast, with the love for a daughter.
