Restlessness Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Sea.....
the mother of restlessness
waves dash against the seashore
retreating back
only to strike again
this may suit the sea
but not the human beings
when restlessness is born
desire and fear
jealousy and anger
accompany together
blood pressure elevated
sugar level increased
what exactly it achieves!
a big zero...
history reveals
wars were fought
problems born
mistakes done
under the aegis of restlessness
if one is convinced
then only control becomes easy
at the opposite end
there is humility
tranquility and silence
like the still water of pond
let our minds strive for it
although earth is dynamic.
