you said to yourself
I'm not going to go
no one will I know
no one will know me
to many years have gone by

then you make up your mind
or it was made up for you
you start getting scared
you start getting excited
the time is now

you first stop by the table
pick up your badge
with a picture from the past
you smile to yourself
you walk on in

looking around you think
your thoughts were right
then you see a face
one you use to love
and she sees you

from that moment
your inseparable
doing the mingle thing
slowly you remember
more and more classmates

finding their lives not much
different then yours
by the end of the night
new friends are made
phone number & emails exchanged

you feel a lot better
your worries unfounded
then the phone rings
it's the girl from your past
now the girl for your present
life is great
