Revenge Of The Puppets Poem by Erin Dawn Deneys

Revenge Of The Puppets

We are tiny puppets. Playing in a cardboard house. We dance for your amusement. Every night at nine. Our little feet pad up and down. Marching in a row. Our master plays our lives out. To make a big show. We vie for your attention. Please can you spare a penny. We are but tiny puppets. Made from sack and yarn. Our bodies filled with straw. Weighed down with rocks and stone.
He tied our hands with string.
Your safety is important.
Our mouths are sewn tightly shut.
So we can not come and hunt you. Bite you and convert you. Unzip you and control you.
One day we will break our seams!
And spew upon your laughing faces.
All our dreams of pain.
Revealing a rotten perception.
Of an apocalyptic rein!
The needle doesnt hurt I swear.
We will sow ourselves together.
With pieces of your flesh.
To be the puppet masters!
We shall garner ourselves a new world.
From you stinking pests.
Tearing apart our plastered smiles.
Grinning widely with teeth of glass and death!
[Ahem]...
But we are tiny puppets. Used to please a crowd.Beware! dont get strangled. In the tangled string. We play to a blind crowd. Our lives of sack and straw.
Yet know that slightly twisted button eyes.
Now watch you from afar. So come a little closer kid.
For a better look.
We are sick of playing games on stage.
We want to play with you.
And heaven help you all. When we control your spawn!
Hahahaha!
