Rhapsodic Voyage Poem by Bharat Trivedi

Rhapsodic Voyage

Rating: 5.0

I had a dream of you
sprinkling stardust on my lack-lustre life.
You painted my ‘black n’ white’ life
with your fervent ‘rainbow colours’.
As the days crawled on time’s infant feet,
your eyes interrogated my body and soul
and the darling distance between us decreased
while pace of our horsy heartbeats increased…

Your sunlit smile invited me to dive
in the drowning pools of your lake-green eyes
and the moon-striped high tides tremble with ardour
to kiss the unexplored fathoms of your body beautiful…

Amorous anchor drops
in the salt-streaked seas of ecstasy
to smell the fishy odour rising from your oyster-bed.
Lupine lunatic waves howl in the libidinous ocean
and your stripped silhouette silently submerges
to catch mad moon’s graphic reflection
bathing bare in liquid-silver shadow…
We are caught in the spiral currents
of a passionate maelstrom
and my voyage ends
in a sonorous rhapsody.
