Ribons Of Darkness Poem by Teresa Dearing

Ribons Of Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Before I close my eyes to sleep,
I wrap myself in soft darkness,
Soft ribbons of velvet, calm me,
And turn off the daylights starkness.

Ribons that caress me,
Like a lovers hand,
Soft, dark velvet,
The finest in the land.

Blissfully, it blocks out the sun light,
Settles my mind, hides the days cares,
Like a soft, worn blanket of fine wool,
Garenteed to ward off nightmares.

This nightime calms my weary mind,
Leaving a void, peace at it's best,
Closing my eyes to darkness,
I welcome a good night's rest.
