Rise Like Venus Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Rise Like Venus

I rise like venus
born from the foam
cracking out of the oyster,
raw crisp,
natures own aphrodesiac,

n wind my way through the morning,
wraithlike,
my feet dont even touch the floor,

yet at night,
n the twighlight
under the moon,
i become more transparent,
a shadow on the wall,

i want to say so many things,
my voice is chocked,
i am bleeding now from so many wounds,

i want to call you over,
christian you between my thighs,
mostly i want to forget things,
who I am

again sinking into the blue,
drowning in sorrows
long overdue,
back down to the sirens,
the brackish grit.

to be reborn tommorrow,
no taste of flesh on my lips,
let it go for awhile,

till i feel the dull throbbing ache of it,
till i need a smile,
a warm body next to mine,

i dont want to confuse you its
just that i am so wishy washy these days,
the channel keeps changing n
i am all the players,
