Rodeo Time Poem by Marilyn Lott

Rodeo Time

Rating: 5.0

It's the rodeo time of year
Time to get everyone in place
So much excitement happens
In a short time and small space

These cowboys have been riding
Many since they were little boys
Watched rodeo all their lives
And played with rodeo toys

The bulls are looking mighty fierce
At least that’s what we think
But really, when they aren’t working
Right out of our hands they’d drink

If you’ve never been to a rodeo
Well, perhaps your time has come
Put on your boots and hat, folks
The cowboys are on the run

Dressed up and feeling good
Cowboys and cowgirls lookin’ fine
Everyone’s waiting in anticipation
For a thrilling rodeo time!
