Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert
Were stars in 'It Happened One Night.'
Neither had wanted to be there,
Thinking the roles were just not right.
Billed as romantic comedy,
Filmed at a minor studio,
Colbert and Gable longed to be
Anywhere else but could not go.
Both were under contract to do
Their parts and so they each did act
As best they could all the way through,
But thought the film a bomb in fact.

Academy Awards came in.
Both Colbert and Gable did win.
