Torried summer scorched earth in tropicals
Just like the passionate longing of a damsel
Striving for her confluence with her lover
To quench her desires with cupids' showers.
Earth too strived for torrential rains
To quench her thirst & for being cooled down.
Confluence with lover brought her blossom
Evident in all her actions and appearance.
Joy she then exuded with full enthusiasm
Her dreamy eyes too oozed pure romance.
Streams, waterfalls and green expanses
Vouched for the mirth showered on earth.
The scenic beauty then evident everywhere
Is as precious as to an ingenue her lover.

Beautiful imagery and wonderful imagination and thanks for sharing!
Just as a lovelorn damsel waits for the lover, the scorched earth is longing for the rain! A beautiful comparison! Enjoyed the poem! !
