Rose Of Midnight Blue Poem by Isaac Barton

Rose Of Midnight Blue

Rating: 4.3

My love? It grew in dissonance,
So sleeping, all began anew,
In gentle scents of innocence;
I dreamt a Rose of Midnight Blue.

I granted sighs to Heaven's moon,
My longtime girl of silver'd hue;
My dear, I'm leaving now, not soon!
I need a Rose of Midnight Blue.

Aware of Time's decreasing sands
I found out where my flower grew,
And journeyed over foreign lands,
In search of Rose of Midnight Blue.

In fear of losing me, her beau,
In flowered fields the Moon withdrew;
My rageful Luna's heart did show,
I neared the Rose of Midnight Blue.

I plant a kiss on a petals cheek,
I know that joy shall now ensue;
For when i felt my knees grow weak,
I found the Rose of Midnight Blue.

Although i rest in scented sleep
Beside the Bride of Midnight Blue,
The glowing orb, her beams now weep;
A Woman's nature will pursue.
