Roses Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Roses

Rating: 4.0

It's the thought
That counts
Or so I'm told
Flowers say so much
Meant to give
A dozen or so
Could only pay
For half
Six long stems
All wrapped up
Trimmed
Ready to go
Yellow like
My flaming love
I wonder
Does she know?

Half a dozen says just as much as a dozen or so - yellow too, my favourite colour. Very sweet and enchanting poem.
