Round On The Top And Round On The Bottom Poem by Devon Tremblay

Round On The Top And Round On The Bottom

A compromised lie
Can suffocate your cries
Break a promise you diseased
Fight the beast you released

You sparked the fire
Now engulf the soaked desire
You caused your own disgrace
No use hiding your pretty face

You were meant for so much more
Broken windows leave open doors
Throw a heart in two directions
To analyze the lesser afflictions

Give up the cycle
To fight greater evil
Darkness will only satisfy
When all hope dies
If there is misery, there is life
How can hope die if you're still alive?

Breakdown the Creation
Of a selfish illusion
Diluted Solution
To a foolproof design
The self proclamation of falsehood
Will open a heart to a complete belief
