we build a house
together
we live there
and we make it not just
a house
but also a home

remember
do not be too complacent
do not take me for
granted

i also demolish houses
and i leave it that way
i know where to go next
and build another nest
for my birds who lay eggs
for me

and then we build the future
it will not just be a house but
a home which you had stayed
for quite a time
enough for you to remember
what a house is
and what a home is

there is nothing that lasts forever
always remember
