Rumors spread

Rumors are all that you hear
they come wildly and strike your ears
sometimes you develop the fear
cry loudly and go to the rear

they may be correct
as they shall be spread as the fact
we may not bother or check
as it doesn't affect our stake

but that can be true as well
for you and may tell
so many things
that shall bring discredit

so give no credence
and chance also
for the people to spread
lies and lead the gossip

they may grip the whole town
and you shall become known
the people may talk freely and something more
what can you excepting feeling sore!
