Running Away Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Running Away

Running away
From Dawn to Dusk
Running away
From broken trust

Stepping aside
To let life flow
Trying to resist
I am a pebble
In its throes

I want to be gone
To the woods
I am drawn
Away from
Strong sunshine
Dense canopies
Will hear my songs

So many times
My sensitive rhymes
Have been defined
Wrongly assessed
And my rights
Been denied

It's all in the game
There's no one to blame
I remain the bottom feeder
In this, there is no shame

On an unending path
My feet run as fast
Trying to turn into fireball
Burning all that is past

In The End
No exit grand
A whimper
And a tear
All of me
Just turn
To mere sand
Nalini
