Running For Cover. Poem by Peter Vealey

Running For Cover.

Rating: 4.0

Took me for granted.
That I would,
Stand for anything,
And nothing.
No protection for,
Me.
Boundaries crossed.
Love and trust,
Will be lost.
I was your best friend and lover.
You were scared of 'yours'
And running for cover.
Took me for granted.
Wholesale,
Never again.
Will, I be pitied,
By you!
Mutual affection,
Is an absolute necessity.
While you justified,
The unjustifiable.
