Rupture Of Childhood Poem by Atashi Ghosh

Rupture Of Childhood

Childhood ruptures in the mist of
Rapture of serpentine encroachment.
Guile ushers the rising darkness
That swallows up the essence of innocence.
Murky assurance leads to winding alleys
Of an unknown cascade of despair.
False promises smile into the
Arcade of treacherous sweetness
Where the mind loses the track
To the destination of real achievement;
Hollow glory welcomes the morning
Shrouded in the night of waywardness.
