Rustic Crowns Poem by jodde taylor

Rustic Crowns

Did your eye's
not pierce mine
finding you there
beneath the lid of my head.

Fire dwells, in the shallow night
fear blinds mercy
torcher breeds, contempt
in this hesitant hour.

Did you not aline the sky
where stars galloped wild
did you not, live in every reflection.

Where once all confusion
stood still, as a wild world
dipped and swayed.

The heart reaches,
falling in pure white
time teaches as love did warm,
with a summer's essence.

Blowing in the centre
of a stone filled sight
did a hand give cause
to find a place of great significance.

Once lifted in sights of gold
does this crown,
not fill with colors of rustic longing...
