Sacred Bond Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sacred Bond

Rating: 5.0

“Will you marry me? I asked her
She was expecting it but smiled with offer
“Yes” we need to do it earlier
We need not drag on further

We both were genuine with relation
It was our strong foundation
We both were firm and committed
Our happiness was as if co-related

Her parents were so cordial
They never went in for denial
We had apprised them of our intention
They too had shown inclination

Of late she was living with confusion
Many thoughts were troubling her in form of questions
I set aside all fears and suggested
It brought to an end for the rumors spread

The marriage is sacred association
It must be the base for relation
Parents too blessed for the occasion
We had little joke for any kind of confession
