Sadness Poem by Maihoua Xiong

Sadness

When I try to breathe,
there's no air.
I can't bear it,
it hurts... so much,
it clucths my heart,
remains there.

An endless hole in my heart,
could not be filled,
stuff it with anger,
stuff it with blames,
stuff it with sadness.
No matter how much I tried,
it could not be filled,
perhaps, it is not suppose to.

The hole got bigger,
the darkness spreads.
I hate,
I yell,
I smile,
and I cried all alone.

Stop the pain...
go away,
kill it,
an endless trap.
The quickest escape,
death?

what's better about the other side?
A hopeless soul
sees no path,
surrounded by it's darkness.
What's better about the other side?

The darkness like chain,
the farther one tries to escape,
the tighter it pulls,
an endless tug-of-war.

Maybe one day...
I'll be free
