Sadness Poem by Jennifer Runner

Sadness

So much sadness and hurt,
And no more places to cry,
Getting harder to answer,
When others question why,

Not knowing anymore what,
Is right and what is wrong,
The tears come stronger,
With every new sad song,

It’s getting tougher to walk,
Around in this empty space,
It’s so quiet anymore that,
I don’t recognize this place,

Not knowing what to feel,
Mostly just feeling numb,
Hearing from some that I am,
Smart but feeling quite dumb,

Just wishing to be held,
Until I cry out every tear,
Wondering if I will ever,
Live my life without fear,

Just wanting happiness that,
Everyone else seems to hold,
Wishing that along the way,
I would have done as I was told.
