Once we're such an empty vessel
forcibly pushed out by recession tide
except for yacht-handful crews
as tourists in cruise abide
For the rest, a million sailors
dry dock in pearl-giving shore
once wreak in havoc islands
anchored in stricken - tore
Better off cross the seven seas
let waves smash ahead
leaving home for sake of honey
counting months for annual leave
Some dock in snowy features
some toil in oil-rich dunes
some treat as mere stop-over
some built migrating home
Well-skilled our name-tag is
a must-hired among the rest
be proud-of with moral forehead
as modern heroes overseas workers
Smart labor is not enough though
match with best of luck -
send box of choco, branded stuffs
sweetest lieu for loved-one's touch
Despite these nostalgic feelings
Sail on! Sail on! fellow OFW
for Philippine economic up-liftment
for families un-shattered dreams
