Salty Tears Poem by Rachael Flint

Salty Tears

Drenched in salty tears,
Your soul yearns as you lay
Staring, Staring
Drenched in nightmares,
When will it end you say
Begging, Begging

Conscience of snowy white
Blinding, you avert your eyes
Running, Running
Conscience screaming loud
Drowning out your lies
Chasing, Chasing

Shiver as you walk deep
Into the night that waits
Gasping, Gasping
Shiver until you fall apart
A million possible fates
Breaking, Breaking

Torn from your fantasy
Succeed into nothing
Clutching, Clutching
Torn, pieces fall
To the ground, drifting
Leaving, Leaving
