Sanctuary Poem by Larry Meyer

Sanctuary

Rating: 2.7

I need more affection that you know
In you and I there was a new land,
Angels in flight, now have all died
I need more affection that you knew
my sanctuary, his sanctuary,
Where fears and lies melt away
Music will tie,
I need more affection that you knew
What's left of me
What's left of me now

I watch you fast asleep,
All I fear means nothing

So many ups and downs
My heart's a battleground
I need true emotions
I need more affection that you knew
I need true emotions

You showed me how to see,
That nothing is whole and nothing is broken
Then you stabbed my eyes and shredded my heart

My fears, my lies
Melt away...I wish they could
I need more affection that you know
