Monsters hidden in the dark
You shed a single tear
Do not be frightened my child
For I am always near

I am with you in your heart
Always by your side
I am the sheet that covers
Everything you try to hide

I will not ignore you
Nor shun you away from me
If you are upset
Come forth and speak free

As a child, I was your parent
As a young adult, I was your friend
All grown up, you chose to leave me
I beg of you, come back again

I will love you like none other
In my eyes, your always pure
You are the light in my darkness
I am your protector
